Hunger to Catch Fire

Just got an email from BN.com letting me know that the second book in the Hunger Games series is FINALLY on it's way!! I'm so excited after waiting and waiting for months now! Think I might put aside my other reads, and pick up The Hunger Games to reread in anticipation of Friday -- the day Book Two arrives!!


Stephenie Meyer is the one who recommended The Hunger Games, and since I was aching for more Twilight, I took her suggestion... expecting to hate it. Why did I doubt her for even one second -- I loved it! She writes on her website about Catching Fire:

I also got an early look at a book I've been eagerly awaiting: Catching Fire, the sequel to Suzanne Collins' phenomenal The Hunger Games. It not only lived up to my high expectations, it surpassed them. It's just as exciting as The Hunger Games, but even more gut wrenching, because you already know these characters, you've already suffered with them. I obviously won't be able to clear my calendar because the kids aren't quite old enough to leave to their own devices for a whole day... I guess I could trying locking myself in the closet and buy some earplugs, lol. Hubs is sure to understand! No, no, I kid.... But I am greatly looking forward to the next week of naptimes. Speaking of, I should get cracking on the housework so things are in order and spic and span by the time the book arrives. Can't wait!!
