Why I Picked It:
Having read The Friday Night Knitting Club last year, and being less than thrilled with the sudden ending killing off the best character, I decided to pick up book two to see if it would get any better.
My Review:
Picking up five years after the tragic ending of the first book, we find Georgia's friends and family have carrying on. Dakota is in college, her father James and her mother's best friend Catherine finding in each other a friend to cope, Darwin pregnant with twins, Anita happy still in love late in life, Lucie feeling like a failure as a single mom to a 5 year old ... It is nice to catch up with "old friends" for a quick easy read. It's definitely fun having read the first book to see how far along these characters have come. Characters - and I won't name any names - that I really didn't like in the first book, are more developed and sympathetic in this book. Enjoyable read for those who put down the first book wondering, "Well, now what?"
