
A friend of mine suggested it as a drink to fill you up. I took one look at the ingredients, and balked. 1 cup grapes -- okay, that's fine... 1 cup spinach -- okay, now you've lost me. 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth.
Even though it sounded disgusting, the word of a trusted friend sometimes is all you need to get you to jump off a cliff. So I did. And LOVED it. The next day, I made another. This time I added 2tbsp of ground flax seed for some extra protein and fiber. The next day, I made it with 1/2c grapes, 1/3 apple, 1/2 carrot, and hemp protein powder instead. I didn't like the chalky texture the protein powder created though. And on and on. The possibilities are almost endless - add banana, celery, yogurt, pineapple... And the benefits are amazing. I have given up coffee. Seriously, in just 5 days, I have no interest in my morning cup. I'm already energized. My workouts this week have felt supercharged so...

I'm considering becoming semi-vegan. I can't give up everything - I WON'T give up everything, but I am considering trying out a primarily vegan diet for a few months and see how it goes.
Gotta go... I'm looking for a good tofu recipe to try out for dinner.
